How was your weekend? On Friday night, I went to downtown Phoenix for "First Friday" with some girlfriends! So much fun!
On Saturday, my husband and I had to cancel our plans to go to the lake because he was sick. :( Instead, I spent the day baking, doing dishes, grocery shopping, doing laundry, and just being overall domestic. :) I baked these Lemon Chia Seed Muffins, hoping the lemon and honey would help Michael feel a little better. They ended up being so delicious!! I had never convinced Michael to try chia seeds until these muffins, and he absolutely loved them! :D
I went shopping with my Mom on Sunday, and bought a couple of pairs of new shoes. I am sharing one of those pairs today!
I found these blue suede Franco Sarto wedges at DSW for 50% off. I couldn't resist the cute bows on top!

I brought some color to the office on this lovely Monday by wearing this colorful striped sweater I pickeed up from Goodwill. This is probably going to be the last time I wear this sweater for a while -- it's supposed to be 97 degrees by Wednesday!
I paired the sweater with my black and white polka dot skirt. The black in both of these fun patterns is what ties them together. I added my new blue wedges because they almost match the blue stripe of my sweater!
For dinner tonight, Michael and I ate BBQ at. . .a gas station/car wash. We're pretty fancy, huh? ;) We had been hearing rave reviews about this place, so we decided it was about time we checked it out! The reviews were right -- my pulled pork tacos were delicious! They even have a BBQ sauce bar. We tried almost all of their flavors. Michael is now obsessed with their BBQ Mustard! He was disappointed they didn't sell it by the bottle. I guess we'll just have to go back. . .Next time, I'm definitely trying their mac'n'cheese!
Thank you so much for reading!! :)
