Get Ready With Me and #MKGlam!

Hello there!

Get ready for some major selfie overload.

The lovely people at Influenster were kind enough to send me items from Mary Kay's newest spring line! I love playing with makeup, and had so much fun testing out the latest products from Mary Kay. The items that were included in the #MKGlam "Vox Box" include:

Mary Kay® Bronzing Powder in Light-Medium
Mary Kay® Translucent Loose Powder
Mary Kay®  Powder Brush
Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush
Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist
Mary Kay® Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush
Mary Kay® Lash Love® Mascara
Mary Kay® Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black
Mary Kay® NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Mango Tango

Before I began, I put on my normal "base" makeup, including primer, foundation, and concealer.

Here I am, ready to begin!

My next step was putting on the Bronzing Powder in Light-Medium, followed by the Cheek Color in Shy Blush.

The Bronzing Powder was a little darker than I would have chosen for my skin tone, even though it's called "Light-Medium". However, it did blend well into my skin. The Cheek Color comes on a little heavy, so make sure to be very light handed with it!

Next, I put on the Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist, using the Cream Eye Color Brush that was included in the Vox Box.

I typically use powder eye colors, so I was surprised at how creamy this formula was! I was certain that it would crease after a few hours, but as I sit here typing this, it's been 6 hours and my lids are still smooth!

As far as the color goes, it is very well pigmented.  I don't understand why it's called "Apricot Twist"?? It is a shimmery gold shade. Perhaps a little more yellow than I would have preferred, but it's a pretty color nonetheless.

The Cream Eye Color Brush is pretty stiff. I prefer a softer brush that is easier to blend with.

After I was all set on Eye Color, I added the Gel Eyeliner in Jet Black with the Brush Applicator.  The lid was very difficult to get off of the Brush Applicator. It's called an "Expandable" Brush Applicator, but I haven't been able to expand it. I used it as-is, but I felt it was too short to apply eyeliner.

The Gel Eye Liner's formula is extremely creamy. Too creamy for my liking. I felt like I got it all over my hands while applying it (with my tiny brush), and came on thicker than I would typically apply it. It smudged very quickly.

Next step was applying the Lash Love Mascara.

The applicator brush had a slight bend it it, which made it very easy to apply!

Overall, I was very pleased with this Mascara. It definitely thickened and lengthened my lashes!

Can you tell which eye I put Lash Love Mascara on? ;)

I ended up putting a double coat on my lashes. Wha-la!

The Translucent Loose Powder came on next! I rarely use Loose Powder, but I put it on using the Powder Brush that came in the box.

I completed the look with NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Mango Tango!

This is a very opaque color! It looks coral in the tube, but actually looks more red once on the lips. I love a good red lip, and was very pleased with this gloss! It wasn't too sticky, and lasted for a while.

My favorite products from Mary Kay were the mascara and the lip gloss. I was impressed by the longevity of the cream eye color, but I think the pigment is a little too yellow for me. I am not a fan of the gel eyeliner or the eyeliner brush.

The finished look! Ready to go to lunch with my husband and hit up some sales at the mall. ;)

Thank you so much for reading!! What are YOUR favorite Mary Kay products? :)

**I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.**
